“ . . . But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received from the Lord Jesus . . . “

Acts 20:24

God has spoken so clearly to me through His Word.  I must be faithful to Him . . . and fulfil the ministry He has entrusted me with.

In 2002 God gave me a vision to help the children of Africa.  Our ministry began as a feeding program in Leratong Village – Qwa Qwa, South Africa.  Those of you who have followed our ministry know that God has blessed the people there in a tremendous way.  We praise Him and thank Him for what He has done.

Now God has opened another door . . . a very large door . . . in the neighboring country of Lesotho.  In February we opened a daycare in Matlakeng Village in Lesotho.  The government of Lesotho has now asked us if we will help the many other children of Lesotho.

Last year the Lord planted a seed in my heart . . . another way for our friends in the United States to help the children He has called us to minister to in Africa.   It was just the beginning of an idea then, but recently the Lord has placed it much stronger in my mind.   It is a big project – but our God is a big God.  He has always been faithful in the past.  I am again stepping out in faith and trusting that He will put the people and resources in place to bring this project to fruition.

The plan revolves around an empty shipping container in the United States which will be filled to capacity and then shipped to Africa.   In Lesotho we have 10 churches ready to take the donations to families with a real and urgent need. This plan will require God’s people in the United States to be moved to help His children in Africa.

Donated items will be sent to one central location in North Carolina.  We will need donation points in different areas and coordinators in those areas.   We will also need a way to transport the donations to the central donation point and volunteers to help me pack the container for shipping to Africa.

  • Gently used clothes for adults (Summer and Winter)

  • Help collect donations and co-ordinate storage in one central point/church in your town

  • Assist in transporting goods to shipping point in North Carolina around September 2010

  • Assist me in packing container for shipping

  • Help fundraise to cover the cost of shipping and transport

Government officials in Lesotho have informed me that there are 71 other villages in the short 40 miles we drive from the border to the Care Center in Matlakeng, where children are wandering around with no supervision – in desperate need of food, clothing, and a preschool education.

That is at least 8000 meals waiting to be served A DAY!!

While we provide for their physical needs, we will also be showing them the love of Jesus, in a real and tangible way.

The primary funding and coordination for this project will come through Susan’s Kids, our partner ministry in North Carolina, but much help is required.  Prayer support, monetary donations to cover the costs related to the container, people to help communicate and coordinate the project, and donated items to fill the container.  Please join me as I pray for God to call on His Church to support this project.

Jesus asks each of us the same question and gives us the same directive.  Will you help me feed His sheep?
