| There are 71 daycare centers already in
operation to the north of where we work. None of them have buildings or
equipment. All children have to bring their own food and because they are
from poor families that does not always happen for all of them. Those in
these centers number close to 2000 children. These are the ones whose
parents can afford to pay the monthly fee of $4 and the Department's
survey claims around 6000 children that would attend daycare if it was
free. Our aim is to start assisting those centers with the biggest need, providing training, shelter, equipment, books and a soup kitchen at each site. This is a huge opportunity, but will require that our present support base be multiplied many times over. PLEASE HELP US HELP THEM!!
